A licensed and ordained minister, Pastor McCall accepted his call in 2005 to preach the Gospel and serve as a leader and laborer of God's people. He planted the Greater Love Mission Church of Fort Worth, Texas in November 2014.
Pastor McCall previously served as an Associate Minister and Pastoral Senior Executive Assistant under the incomparable leadership of his pastor, teacher and mentor, Dr. Billy L. Bell, Sr., of New Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Prior to his tenure at New Pilgrim Rest, he faithfully served under the leadership of Rev. Woodrow Hayden, senior pastor of Greater Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Pastor McCall is a serious student of the scriptures. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies and Christian Counseling from Faith Evangelical College & Seminary of Tacoma, Washington, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion at Faith Seminary and he is a graduate of the Billy Bell Bible Institute College Course (BBBICC). Recognizing the need to counsel those to whom he serves, Pastor McCall has received several certificates recognizing his achievements in Crisis Intervention (UMBC) and Clinical Pastoral Care (CPE) at Texas Health Resources (ACPE). He also studied at the University of New Orleans and Southern University of New Orleans.
Concentrating his focus in the area of expository preaching, Pastor McCall served for 7 years with the V&B National Church Conference planning committee and was a lecturer in 2014. He also attends the Annual Frank E. Ray and WHW Annual Expository Preaching Conferences.
Pastor McCall's mission is to provide the required leadership necessary to spiritually and exponentially develop Greater Love Mission Church. His commitment is to preach with exegetical integrity and crystal clear clarity making the gospel relevant to the lives of those he serve and assist in strengthening their walk with Christ.
One of the greatest joys in his life, second only to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is his “help meet,” of over 25 years, Dedie Bell-McCall. Dedie's devotion and commitment to our Pastor is only surpassed by her love and commitment to Christ. She is a bright and gifted woman whose encouragement and support of our Pastor and Greater Love Mission Church is a blessing from God.
Pastor and Mrs. McCall, originally from New Orleans, were married in October 1993. They have resided in the DFW area since 2006.
